The Paris-based association France-Louisiane Franco-Américaine was founded in 1977. It houses Europe's largest collection of books about French-speaking in America. (one thousand volumes).
It supports 14 delegations throughout France and 6 in Louisiana, and publishes a newsletter that is distributed to members and many institutions. The association is an essential link for all Franco-Louisiana activities.

The Alliance Française in New Orleans is one of the oldest in the country (founded in 1890). French courses are offered, and it is a source of much information about French-speaking cultural activities in Louisiana.
